Brazilian soccer legend Roberto Carlos recently purchased two condominiums at Viceroy Residences Fort Lauderdale, a 45-story residential tower rising in downtown Fort Lauderdale. 

Widely regarded as one of the greatest left-backs in history, Carlos is best known for his career with Real Madrid and the Brazilian national team.  

“Fort Lauderdale is a place I’ve been coming to for years, and I’ve always felt a strong connection to this city,” Roberto Carlos said. “When I saw Viceroy Residences Fort Lauderdale, I was drawn to the project right away. Douglas Elliman is handling sales at the 500-foot tower, which offers 251 luxury one- to four-bedroom residences, each of which comes with a terrace, floor-to-ceiling windows, open-concept layouts and interiors by Arquitectonica and Rockwell Group. The building is being developed by the Naftali Group and represents the first branded condominiums in Fort Lauderdale by Viceroy Hotels and Residences. 

There are more than 30,000 square feet of amenities, including a rooftop spa, pool and lounge areas; wine and sound bar; karaoke room; VR simulator room; concierge service; and beach club access. There will also be a 15,000-square-foot restaurant and private members’ club by The h.wood Group, the Los Angeles-based hospitality company behind celebrity-favorite concepts like Delilah and The Nice Guy.
