Ombelle Fort Lauderdale breaks ground

by John Yellig

The Ombelle Fort Lauderdale luxury condominium development slated for Fort Lauderdale’s Flagler Village recently held a groundbreaking ceremony.

The event marked the completion of pre-construction test piles and the start of the next phase of development. Work on the community, which will feature two 44-story towers at 300 NE Third Ave., is expected to wrap up in 2028.

Designed by ODA Architecture, Ombelle will offer a mix of furnished homes ranging from studios to four-bedrooms and penthouses. Pricing starts in the $500,000s. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is handling sales.

“Ombelle continues to generate strong buyer interest because it offers a distinctive residential experience in one of Fort Lauderdale’s fastest-growing neighborhoods,” said Jay Phillip Parker, CEO of Douglas Elliman’s Florida region and president of Douglas Elliman Development Marketing, Florida. “With construction officially underway, buyers can now see the vision becoming a reality, reinforcing the confidence and momentum we’ve experienced since sales launched.”

The twin residential towers will be anchored by more than 100,000 square feet of amenities, including sunrise and sunset pools, fitness studios, saunas and steam rooms and pickleball courts. It will also offer ground-floor retail and Fort Lauderdale’s first Equinox Fitness Club.

Dependable Equities, the South Florida division of New York-based Sky Equity Group, is developing the project.

“Reaching this construction milestone at Ombelle marks an important step in bringing our vision for Flagler Village to life and reflects our long-term commitment to Fort Lauderdale,” Sky Equity Founder and CEO Simon Dushinsky said. “Every phase of the development has been carefully planned, and we’re excited to see that vision continue to take shape.”
