As an immigrant from Cuba, Yasser Ponce credits the opportunities he’s gained throughout his life with shaping the way he approaches work, leadership and responsibility. “I believe success is about building platforms for others,” Ponce says. “Whether it is helping real estate agents grow their businesses or developing future leaders within the organization, creating opportunities for other people motivates me the most.”
The regional director of sales throughout Florida for SERHANT, Ponce specializes in real estate brokerage startups. After nearly 20 years in banking, he built a career as a Realtor when he found a passion for supporting other agents through building marketing campaigns and overall agent development. “Instead of focusing on individual production, I’m building strong offices, recruiting great agents and creating systems and culture that help everyone perform at a higher level,” he explains. “The result is a brokerage that grows in a more intentional and sustainable way.”
Ponce is a member of the National Association of REALTORS®, Miami Association of REALTORS®, Master Brokers Forum and Florida Realtors, where he served as the former director. Over the past three years, he helped scale and strengthen SERHANT’s presence across Florida by growing the agent community, as well as building the structure, culture and leadership systems. “Watching agents and managers step into bigger roles, grow their businesses and contribute to the momentum of the brand is incredibly rewarding,” he says.
In the industry for 13 years, Ponce credits his success to seeing the bigger picture while thinking strategically. “Whether I’m guiding agents or growing a brokerage across multiple markets,” he says, “the ability to analyze situations quickly and make clear decisions has been the most instrumental skill in my career.”
