Ocean’s Edge Resort, a joint venture project between Newfound and local partners, is comprised of apartments, cottages and individual villas spread around the beachfront location of Frigate Bay in St Kitts. Covering almost 40 acres, the resort has views of the Atlantic Ocean and is located near Royal St. Kitts Golf Course.

Ocean’s Edge is a resort development that combines luxury outdoor and indoor living with investment potential and operating returns. The development has 185 units, including one- and two-bedroom beachfront apartments, two-bedroom hillside apartments with individual plunge pools, two-bedroom semi-detached garden cottages and a choice of three- to four-bedroom villas. The resort is designed by OBM International, one of the Caribbean’s leading architectural firms.

The recreation center will offer a convenience store and a small gym. Two all-weather, floodlit tennis courts will be located adjacent to the recreation center.

An open-plan restaurant, built using the natural topography to enhance views of the ocean, will be located overlooking the beach. The bar will be accessed both from inside the restaurant and from the terrace leading to the pool.

The clubhouse, with a restaurant on the ground floor, will be centrally located with a space suitable for wedding receptions and conferences on the first floor.

A comprehensive property management program, managed by the operator, Elite Island Resorts, provides services ranging from maintenance to concierge. Owners may choose to participate in a rental program, also managed by Elite Island Resorts.

The resort is on track for completion in December 2009.

Additionally, Newfound plans to work with local area schools to create a time capsule to be buried below the foundation of the resort’s entrance fountain.

St. Kitts has recently welcomed guests on its first direct, nonstop flight from New York, an American Airlines service that runs twice weekly.

The government in St. Kitts is offering a program entitling persons that make a minimum investment of $350,000 in the island in an approved project to be entitled to apply for citizenship in St. Kitts and Nevis. Ocean’s Edge Resort is among the approved projects.
