El-Ad National Properties recently renamed its $1 billion mixed-use development in Davie from The District at Davie to The Plaza Davie District.
The rebrand seeks to reflect the South Florida lifestyle and project “a more immersive, amenity-driven environment that blends residential living with a destination experience,” El-Ad said. The name also reflects El-Ad’s work in repositioning landmark properties, including its redevelopment of The Plaza Hotel in New York City.
“The updated name and logo reflect a more intentional, hospitality-driven vision tied directly to The Plaza Davie District, prioritizing connection, experience and the energy of South Florida living,” El-Ad CEO Matthew Jeffries said. “The branding, architecture and interiors are all aligned in that vision. From its design to its amenities, this is being built as a true destination in the heart of Davie.”
The rebrand includes a new logo with a palm tree motif that El-Ad hopes will bring to mind the project’s outdoor lifestyle and tropical surroundings. It also follows the recent topping-out of the first building in phase one of the 2.8 million-square-foot development. Updated signage and fencing are being installed at the construction site.
The Plaza Davie District is being delivered in three phases, the first of which will deliver a 22-story apartment tower that’s scheduled to open in early 2027. When fully built out, the development will have five residential towers with approximately 1,292 rental units, 36,000 square feet of restaurants and retail, and 1.1 million square feet of access-controlled parking with 2,650 spaces.
