Fashionably Conscious, the vintage designer sale benefitting Coconut Grove Cares, The Barnyard Community Center raised over $100,000. The annual event, (now in its eighth year) took place on September 25-27. It was presented by CocoWalk, supported by the Codina Family & Terranova. The pop-up weekend sale event attracted shoppers from all over South Florida looking to get their hands on designer clothing, shoes and accessories for discounted prices. The donated items came from the closets of Miami’s respected philanthropists.
The following retail stores/local businesses acted as sponsors and donors: Neiman Marcus, Mia’s Garden, Jack Lowell, Pinnacle Housing, Mena Catering, KARLA Events, Kit & Ace, Eberjey and Mayda Cisneros. Fashionably Conscious recently moved into a prime new retail space in CocoWalk. It will be the retail center’s first community partnership event under the direction of new collaborators, Grass River Property, The Comras Company and Federal Realty.
