Nancy Barreto Hogan

General Manager

Brown Harris Stevens Avatar

Nancy Barreto Hogan has worked with a wide range of real estate clients, from seasoned investors to first-time buyers. Her experience spans almost four decades in the business, and that experience has not gone unnoticed. Former Florida Governor Jeb Bush appointed her to the Florida Real Estate Commission (FREC), she served on the Miami Dade County Mayor’s Mortgage Fraud Task Force as Chairman of the Education Committee, and she was the only Miami Realtor to speak at the Department of Justice’s Mortgage Fraud Summit. Today, she helps the residents of the Coral Gables, Pinecrest, Palmetto Bay and Kendall communities with both commercial and residential needs, and was recently awarded the Corporate Business Leader of the Year award through the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce. Hogan has been named to the Florida Realtors Honor Society consistently for over 15 years.

This past year, Hogan also had the honor of being named chairperson of the convention celebrating Florida Realtors’ 100th Anniversary. She is an active member of Florida Realtors, along with both the Miami Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors.

Hogan’s “A Team” includes two nieces and a former business partner. They pride themselves on their strict adherence to the code of ethics, as well as their professionalism and honesty. Acting as general manager for Brown Harris Stevens Avatar, Hogan spends her time managing and assisting her associates. The team members provide each client with the individualized attention they deserve, and have someone on-call at all times.

Hogan is a firm believer in the power of knowledge, and credits her extensive real estate knowledge to her time serving on boards for various real estate-related organizations as well as her many years in the industry.

When she isn’t busy serving the real estate community, she is working with the Coral Gables Chamber of Commerce and the Philanthropic Education Organization, which raises money for women’s education. Nancy also spearhead the effort to sponsor veteran’s dinners through Baptist Health, and has been involved with an impressive number of associations and organizations throughout the years, including the American Heart Association and the Salvation Army. She also enjoys spending time with her large family — she is one of 11 children and has two daughters of her own — and relaxing with her husband and dogs at their weekend getaway in North Palm Beach.
