New York Mets pitcher Max Scherzer buys $18 million estate in Jupiter

by Patrick Regan

New York Mets pitcher Max Scherzer and his wife, Erica, closed on an $18 million waterfront property in Jupiter’s exclusive Admirals Cove community last week.

The property at 217 Commodore Drive is one of the community’s largest waterfront lots. The 7,220-square-foot home has five bedrooms, seven-and-a-half bathrooms, an elevator, a resort-style pool, a guest house and views of the Intercoastal Waterway.

Lori Schacter of Illustrated Properties represented the seller, and Holly Meyer Lucas of Compass represented the buyers. The sale closed March 30.

Schacter has closed on more than $1 billion in sales in her time with Illustrated.

“It is exciting to complete the sale of Commodore Island’s premier corner point lot,” Schacter said in a news release. “I was able to leverage my relationships, market knowledge and Illustrated’s unparalleled marketing platform and global network to achieve an optimal result for the seller.”
