What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

The most interesting job before becoming an agent was working with a landscape architect in Miami Beach. During this period I had the opportunity to learn everything about plants and specially orchids, knowledge which I apply today when I need to relax and do my own gardening.

Where did you grow up?

I was born in Montevideo, Uruguay, and came to Miami in 1994.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

I wanted to be an oceanographer, and in 1989, I got my degree in oceanography and marine biology in Uruguay.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

Spend time with my pets, Bella, Lolo, Druk and Yuma. I also love very much to watch the sunsets in my own backyard and walk on the beach.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

It would be Leonardo DiCaprio and his mission of protecting the Earth’s last wild places implementing solutions to build a more harmonious relationship between humanity and our Planet.

Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?

From wildlife and nature to beach beauties and water activities, there is no limit to South Florida best kept secrets. South Florida has the perfect weather and there is always something for everyone.

What do you love most about the industry?

I love the fact that you meet people from all over the world, and you get the opportunity to speak different languages while enjoying each different deal. Every deal is a different challenge.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

To network with other colleagues in the industry. I would say it is difficult sometimes, but it also helps me grow in my field.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

To keep in touch with your clients before, during and after the transaction.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

Lately I have been listening to chill out music and some times reggae which I like a lot.

What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?

Chicken Paillard with vegetables.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?

Regalia in Sunny Isles Beach.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

That I love big felines with all my heart. I have been very close to them and have renewed my energy, when needed, by looking at their eyes. It is very powerful.

What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?

Punta del Este, Uruguay. It is Uruguay’s most popular resort; its iconic cityscape, glamorous parties and incredible beaches attract visitors from all over the world.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?

Learn and work with diligence, respect and honesty.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?

My social media platform is primarily about animals. So …. I follow organizations/people/charities who care about the well-being of the animals on this planet.
