What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
Before real estate, I worked at a financial services firm specializing in investments, estate planning and insurance for ultra-high-net-worth individuals and families. It was an environment with exceptionally high standards, where I learned the value of discretion, clear communication, thorough due diligence and meticulous organization. I also developed a strong foundation in analyzing investments and helping clients make informed financial decisions. Those experiences continue to shape the way I serve my real estate clients today, bringing a strategic, detail-oriented approach to every transaction while always keeping my clients’ long-term goals at the forefront.
Where did you grow up?
I split my childhood between South Florida and Puerto Rico, where much of my mother’s family lives. Some of my favorite memories are growing up alongside my cousins, spending our days exploring the outdoors — hiking to waterfalls, swimming in rivers, climbing rocks and enjoying everything the island’s natural beauty had to offer. Living in Puerto Rico also allowed me to become fluent in both spoken and written Spanish, which has been an invaluable asset in my personal life and real estate career. Looking back, I’m grateful to have experienced both cultures, as they gave me a unique perspective and helped shape who I am today.
Growing up, what did you want to be?
I didn’t have one specific career in mind growing up, but as a latchkey kid who bounced from apartment to apartment, I was always drawn to numbers and dreamed of one day having a home of my own. As I got older, those interests became more defined and eventually led me to a career where I could combine my analytical thinking with a passion for real estate. Looking back, those early experiences became the foundation for the career I have today.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
Staying active is my favorite way to recharge. I enjoy dancing, exercising and, most recently, I’ve developed a bit of a pickleball obsession. Most evenings you’ll find me on the court, where I can decompress, get a great workout and reset after a busy day. It’s the perfect way for me to recharge so I can bring my best energy to my clients.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
I’d choose Warren Buffett. Having started my career in financial services, I’ve always admired his disciplined approach to investing, decision-making and long-term thinking. Beyond his success, I appreciate his humility and ability to explain complex ideas in simple terms. I’d love the opportunity to hear how he evaluates opportunities, manages risk and builds trust — lessons that apply just as much to real estate as they do to investing.
Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?
I’d say Little River. It’s one of Miami’s most exciting emerging neighborhoods because it still has an authentic local feel while attracting thoughtful investment and redevelopment. With its growing restaurant scene, creative energy and central location, I believe it’s poised for significant long-term growth. It’s the kind of neighborhood where you can still see the opportunity before everyone else does.
What do you love most about the industry?
What I love most about real estate is the relationships I build along the way. Every transaction is an opportunity to earn someone’s trust during an important chapter of their life, and many of my clients become lifelong friends. Helping people achieve their goals is incredibly rewarding, but it’s the lasting relationships and connections that make this career so meaningful to me.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
The most challenging part of my job is managing expectations and having the tough conversations. Real estate doesn’t always unfold the way people hope, and part of my responsibility is helping clients navigate market realities with honesty and transparency. Sometimes that means delivering news they don’t want to hear, but I’ve found that clear communication and trust are what ultimately lead to the best outcomes.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
Be genuinely curious about people and look for ways to help before asking for business. The strongest lead generation strategy isn’t a script or marketing campaign — it’s building a reputation for being knowledgeable, responsive and someone people enjoy working with. Every conversation is an opportunity to earn trust, provide value and create a lasting connection. When you consistently put people first, referrals and repeat business naturally follow.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
Lately, I’ve been listening to podcasts on business, investing and personal growth. I enjoy learning from successful entrepreneurs and industry leaders because there’s always a new perspective or idea that I can apply to both my business and everyday life. I’m always looking for ways to keep learning and improving. When I’m not listening to a podcast, you’ll probably find me on the pickleball court.
What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?
It’s almost impossible to choose just one! South Florida’s dining scene has grown tremendously over the past several years, making it exciting to discover new restaurants. Whether it’s a casual neighborhood spot or a special-occasion dinner, I love experiencing the incredible variety our community has to offer.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?
One of my favorite buildings in South Florida is The Surf Club in Surfside. I love how it seamlessly blends the historic 1930 clubhouse with Richard Meier’s contemporary architecture, creating something that feels both timeless and modern. The grounds are just as impressive — from the beautifully preserved landscaping to the remarkable century-old banyan tree in the courtyard. Add in the oceanfront setting and dining at Le Sirenuse, and the entire experience feels like a little escape to the Mediterranean. It’s one of my favorite places to visit because every detail has been thoughtfully designed.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
How much time do we have? Real estate has taken me into some truly unforgettable situations. I’ve shown properties with unexpected surprises, worked on transactions involving stories that later made national television and experienced moments that were so unbelievable they could have come straight out of Tiger King! One thing I’ve learned is that no two days in real estate are ever the same.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
People are often surprised to learn that I’m a one-woman operation. While many assume there’s a large team behind my business, I’m involved in nearly every aspect — from marketing and social media to negotiations, client service and everything in between. I take pride in knowing that the business people see is a direct reflection of the work I put into it every day.
What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?
Africa, without a doubt. There’s something incredibly grounding about being in the bush, surrounded by nature with no signs of civilization — just the landscape, the wildlife and an overwhelming sense of stillness. Watching the African sunset, listening to the sounds of animals under a sky full of stars, is the closest I’ve ever come to truly disconnecting and recharging. It’s a place that reminds me to slow down, be still and appreciate the beauty of the natural world.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Lead with authenticity; relationships will follow.
Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?
I don’t follow many influencers. Instead, I gravitate toward accounts that inspire me — architecture, design, travel, wildlife and real estate.
