What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

Some interesting roles and jobs I had were public relations in a resort in Costa Rica, cruise ship job aboard a Carnival ship, owner of a language learning company and door-to-door salesman for a national alarm company.

Where did you grow up?

I was born in Israel but grew up in Toronto, Ontario.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

Growing up in a very multicultural city in Canada, I always knew I loved working with people of all walks of life. I studied the hospitality business and even enjoyed traveling the world. I started learning languages to either become a diplomat or an international hotelier.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

I love going to the gym early in the morning, I believe it is the best stress relief. I also do enjoy a glass of wine with some friends.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

Ronald Reagan, Frank Sinatra or Denzel Washington for their charisma! I think charismatic people are awesome!

Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?

Instead of going out for dinner in Miami Beach or Brickell, try Design District, Wynwood and MiMo area.

What do you love most about the industry?

I love promoting the growth of the beautiful South Florida area and its new developments. Watching this city grow into a super city makes it easy for me to sell here!

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

When deals don’t go the way you wanted them, it’s very important to be the glue between your client and the other side. Have the knowledge and the right tools to put out a fire and get the deal to the closing table.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

Don’t be afraid to pick up a phone and call people in your neighborhood, building, community. Introduce yourself at your place of worship, make sure they know what you do for a living.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

I have been listening to podcasts lately on my way to/from the gym, work, meetings, etc. I love reading business and personal development books, especially about real estate, sales, team building and marketing.

What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?

I love good sushi. Omakase or Asian fusion for the win!

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?

One Thousand Museum for sure.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?

I had a client reach out to me to put an offer on a redevelopment project. Seems like he also reached out to three other agents for the same project to see who gets him the best price.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

I speak eight languages and utilize them almost daily.

What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?

I love going to wine country. I have been to Napa five times but would like to discover the old world.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?

Leads, listings, leverage! Relationships over transactions!

I follow successful agents in the industry. Ryan Serhant, Chad Carroll, Josh Altman, Oren Alexander & many more!
