What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

Non-profit founder.

Where did you grow up?

Newark, Delaware.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

Dentist.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

Sol yoga (hot yoga), Pilates (solid core), drink tea, go for a walk, spend time with loved ones.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

I would love to meet Oprah, her tenacity, business mind and conversation would be sure to leave me inspired

Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?

South Florida’s best-kept secret would be the community small business restaurants. Like Kush in Wynwood and Naomi’s Garden in Little Haiti.

What do you love most about the industry?

Real estate has given me the opportunity to meet so many people from a vast amount of backgrounds. I have the flexibility and independence that I have always desired. You truly make what you put into the business.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

The pay is not as consistent as a 9-5 leaving you to be more disciplined with your finances since the market is cyclical.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

Network, network, network!

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

I love to binge Selling Sunset. I am currently rereading Rich Dad Poor Dad. I am obsessed with cooking shows on YouTube.

What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?

Houston’s – Hawaiian cut steak, with a loaded potato and kale salad. Bar-One – Mac and cheese and chicken and waffles.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?

South Florida is filled with the world’s most beautiful architecture. From Paramount waterfront views to the exciting new construction like Bentley and Aria Reserve.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?

The weirdest thing that has ever happened to me on the job is that someone mistook me for Gabrielle Union.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

I have three degrees, and I was on the road to becoming a dentist.

What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?

Jamaica where my family is from. As a child I would visit three-plus times per year.

Never give up, be consistent, and network, network, network.
