What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

Working as an Emergency Room Technician for a Broward Health Medical Center. It is a Level 1 Trauma Center and a general hospital so there was always something going on.

Where did you grow up?

I grew up in the southwest side of Broward County in Miramar.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

Growing up I wanted to be a firefighter/paramedic.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

If I have the ability at the time I’m stressed, I like to go to the gym and practice my mixed martial arts training. If not, I like to watch a movie.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

A million times, I’d choose Dick Van Dyke. I would love to know what it was like to grow up in the time he did and his experiences in Hollywood. It was a different time, different society and the shows were a little more wholesome. I loved his show and his role in Mary Poppins.

Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?

Well, that’s the thing, it’s a secret.

What do you love most about the industry?

I love discovering my beautiful state. I get to see some of the most impressive architecture in Florida and the gorgeous views around it. While I do this, I get to do the most important part of my job, help people find their home.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

Finding the balance between work and my personal life. I very much love my profession so I find myself a little unbalanced sometimes.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

Market your content correctly on social media and don’t be afraid to cold call.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

Lately, I’m binge-watching Vikings, for the second time. I love a good period piece. I’m reading The Book of Unusual Knowledge and I’m listening to Podcasts for learning Spanish.

What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?

My favorite food to eat is Mediterranean. I go to a restaurant called Mazza Mediterranean Cuisine. The best meal is a platter of falafel, tabbouleh, stuffed grapes leaves, baba ghanoush, and hummus.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?

The Villa, Casa Casaurina is my favorite building. It has a Mediterranean revival style and was built in the 1930s. This building is very famous. It is where Gianni Versace died. The Versace Mansion has age, stories and beauty.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?

So far, I haven’t experienced anything odd yet.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

That I don’t speak Spanish, unfortunately. I wish I did, and that’s why I’m learning.

What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?

South Africa is my favorite spot to vacation. My husband is from Cape Town and brought me with him for a visit in 2021. The beaches are wondrous, the cities are bustling beauties, and the countryside is incredibly tranquil. Speaking of the countryside, I believe the wine vineyards produce some of the best wine in the world. It’s unfortunate it’s not common to come across in the U.S.

Don’t forget your “why.”

Valentina Shevchenko, she’s the UFC Flyweight Champion. Grant Cardone, he talks about real issues going on today and business. Adam Maccahill, this man takes videos of the beautiful waters and wildlife of Florida.
