Kamylla Monteiro Realtor

eXp Realty

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
I had my own business and worked as a sales representative.
Where did you grow up?
Recife, Brazil
Growing up, what did you want to be?
I wanted to be a veterinarian, but after watching surgery on a dog, I cried and realized that I wouldn’t be able to do it.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I meditate under the sun.
If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Certainly, some of my favorite book authors, like Judith McNaught, Carina Rissi and sometimes Jane Austen.
Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?
South Florida has many incredible places. Sometimes, for example, the most discreet and small restaurants are the ones that offer the best quality and options. Another example is the parks. Two wonderful choices are the Morikami Museum and Japanese Gardens and Coral Reef Park, which are my favorites.
What do you love most about the industry?
Being a Realtor in Miami gives me the opportunity to meet people from different backgrounds, styles, cultures, etc., and provide them with memorable experiences. I also love the fact that I can be the owner of my time and don’t need to adhere to an unyielding schedule.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
You may have a set time to start working, but never a set time to finish. Sometimes, we wish the day had more hours.
What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
If you provide exceptional service to all your clients, they will refer you, and new clients will come from that. I also recommend posting valuable content on social media. This will attract new and unknown clients.
What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
Lately, I’ve been listening to Leandro Karnal’s podcast. He’s one of the greatest contemporary Brazilian thinkers.
What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?
I love sushi, so that will always be my first choice.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?
I love the dramatic design of the modern architecture of the Miami Tower. I also like the sharp-cornered design of the parking lot at 1111 Lincoln Road. I recommend that you go up to the Juvia restaurant. There is a beautiful view of Miami Beach.
What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
Once I went to show an apartment to a client, and as soon as we opened the door, we saw that nothing was like the photos. There were many broken things, including the floor, remains of drinks and food scattered around, as well as other intimate personal items. We didn’t even go in. It was embarrassing.
What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I have six four-pawed kids: one dog and five cats.
What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?
My favorite place will always be where my family is. However, when I go to Brazil, I can savor my favorite dishes and be with the people I love the most in the world. That’s something I cherish.
In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Don’t give up!
Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?
Leandro Karnal and Louise Hay
What are your social media handles?
