Natalie Borowski Vilarino Luxury real estate agent

Ancona Real Estate Inc.

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

I have been working in the hospitality business my entire life. My family owns Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine and they have been in business for over 35 years. They have locations all over Broward and Miami-Dade.

Where did you grow up?

Davie, FL.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

I always wanted to be a businesswoman.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

I love working out, walking, and going to the beach.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

I would love to meet Dave Grutman. He is a partner in so many Miami-based restaurants and nightclubs. He’s extremely prominent in the hospitality industry, and I find it inspiring how well connected and successful he is.

Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?

Key Biscayne.

What do you love most about the industry?

The fact that you get to work with so many different individuals and every day is different. I love architecture, interior design, and sales which is why I believe real estate is perfect for me.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

You have to be extremely flexible and willing to be available when needed. This career is 24/7. I have difficulty disconnecting from my phone at times.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

Try to network as much as possible and be consistent on social media platforms. Making strong and genuine connections is everything.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

I loved watching Selling Sunset and Selling Tampa. My favorite books to read are from Colleen Hoover. When it comes to music, I listen to basically every genre.

What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?

My top three favorite meals are Italian, Thai and Cuban cuisine. My favorite Italian restaurant is Luca Osteria. Lung Yai is the best for authentic Thai. Finally, you can never go wrong with Cuban food from Las Vegas Cuban Cuisine.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?

My favorite building is the One Thousand Museum in Miami. This high-rise residential condominium was beautifully designed by Pritzker Prize-winning architect Zaha Hadid. This building to me is elegant and breathtaking. I also love the curving exoskeleton design.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?

Thankfully I have never had any weird experiences in real estate or in the restaurant business. There have been times where unexpected scenarios have occurred, but they always turn out to be learning experiences.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

I am an identical twin, and we are both in real estate.

What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?

I love going to Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic because of the beautiful beaches, and if I ever need to relax that is the place to go. I also love going to Breckenridge, Colorado, for skiing and snowmobiling.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?

Be patient, consistent, hardworking and optimistic.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?

@davegrutman @goldendina @mananamariee @valerie-star @vincethebuilder
