Stefania Mogollon Realtor

Ancona Real Estate Inc.

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

I worked as a model, social media marketing specialist and content creator, with major brands and companies like Yves Saint Laurent Procter & Gamble, Google, Amazon,  Maybelline, Garnier, Fashionnova and more.

Where did you grow up?

Caracas, Venezuela, and I spent many years in New York City when I first came to America.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

I have always loved business, the art of making money is fascinating to me. That is why I graduated with a bachelor’s degree in international business. But I also grew up seeing renovations of properties, and that always got my attention.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

I really love to work out, do yoga, sauna and steam room are my favorites. Going for a walk by the water with my dog helps me substantially.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

I would love to have a conversation with Tony Robbins, I have gone to several of his events, and he marked my life in so many ways. Anyone I talk to, I recommend doing his seminars for a major mindset shift.

Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?

Vizcaya Museum & Gardens is definitely a unique spot in Miami that not many tourists or new residents know about. It has incredible architecture, spectacular gardens and incredible history. A “must” place to visit.

What do you love most about the industry?

I love connecting and helping people. It is so gratifying to be part of people’s lives and dreams in such a unique way. Helping them find their home or improving their life through the revenue that real estate offers, it’s very fulfilling and dynamic.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

Every real estate transaction is unique, and some have major difficulties, but, as a successful real estate agent, it is my job to overcome any challenge that may arrive and make the best use of my expertise to have a successful and smooth transaction.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

Social media is huge right now. The beauty of it is that the more people see you, the more they feel familiar with you, and  the more they trust you. That is why I have accounts in all platforms (Instagram, Tiktok, Youtube).

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

I am very much into podcasts. Lewis Howes has amazing content about self-growth, mindset, business and relationships. It’s super high-value content for my life. I listen while cooking or walking my dog.

What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?

I am a foodie and this question was the hardest one. I will go with Italian food, Casa Tua has a delicious Frutti Di Mare pasta that I absolutely love.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?

Waldorf Astoria. It offers more than 30 different floor plans, and it feels that no apartment is alike. It is divided by cubes, and the exterior architecture will be breathtaking.

It will be the tallest building in the city of Miami; it is definitely a statement.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?

I was showing a house and a person living in there didn’t want to get out of bed, so he went under the blankets and told us to walk around and feel “comfortable.” Just imagine showing the bedroom with someone under the blankets pretending nothing is happening.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

I’ve worked since I was 15, and everything I have has been 100% earned by my hard work. People sometimes perceive me as if I had it all growing up. It’s actually the opposite, very little resources and extreme financial struggles, but that’s exactly my major gift, that is what pushes my desire to be better every day.  I came to this country by myself, and I can say, “I’ve made it.”

What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?

I like anything in nature, away from city life, places that I’ve loved seeing are Yosemite Park, Angra dos Reis in Brazil, a farm in Bogotá, Colombia. Those places take me away from the “real” world and remind me how immense and generous the universe is.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?

Always do the right thing. Work hard, there are no shortcuts, and get good training.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?

@StefanJames, @TonnyRobbins, @LewisHowes
