Agent Snapshot: Lisa Agostini, Agent, Ancona Real Estate, Miami

Lisa AgostiniWhat was your first job in the realty industry? Being an agent under the mentoring and guidance of my broker, Peter Ancona.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I am very thankful that I have many outlets for when I am stressed. I love working out. It allows me a chance to clear my head and stimulate natural endorphin’s, which help to find creative solutions. I also enjoy being in nature; connecting with my surroundings helps me find ground and inner peace. I regain my true self and balance by expressing myself through modern dance and creating art.

Where did you grow up? I was born in Tallahassee, Fla. I am a native Floridian and grew up in Orlando and Miami.

Growing up, what did you want to be? Growing up I always wanted to be so many things. I am very passionate about life and succeeding in all areas.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be? I would like to have lunch with Anthony Robbins. I admire the person he has become and how he has the ability to inspire others and map out strategies for success in all areas of life.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? My favorite place to spend my time is definitely the beach.

What do you love most about the industry? I love the idea of assisting people in finding their home, vacation house, investment properties, etc.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? From a very young age, I was instilled with the high values of hard and ethical work. I am very passionate and goal oriented. My success reflects the success of my clients. In any job that I have accepted, I gained success through hard work, knowledge, compassion, professionalism, loyalty, trust and dedication. I love working with all types of people and assisting them in real estate.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? I don’t believe there is a “most difficult” aspect in real estate. I am a firm believer that every obstacle has a solution and opportunity to grow.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I have many different avenues for networking. I consider every encounter with an individual as an opportunity. I also attend organizations and events related to real estate.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? My greatest accomplishment would have to be the amount of work I have put into my own life  (i.e. finding my own strength and self sustainability). It has allowed me to be very successful with people.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? The last good movie I saw was “The Martian.” I loved how he made an impossible situation possible. He never gave up when most would have, and turned a dire, seemingly insurmountable situation into a successful mission. Very inspiring!

What is your favorite restaurant? My favorite restaurant is Prime 112. I love the food and the atmosphere.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? My favorite building would be the Apogee Building in Miami Beach. It is a very modern, high-end, beach-front condominium.
