What was your first job in the realty industry? Sales associate at my own company – Sunny Realty.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Read, yoga and shop.

Where did you grow up?Kiev, Ukraine.

Growing up, what did you want to be? Diplomat and politician.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Pablo Picasso – love his work and intelligence.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? South Beach, Miami.

What do you love most about the industry? Selling luxury real estate puts me in a win-win situation – happy buyer-happy seller. People love the lifestyle I sell here in Miami.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? These days to be a successful agent it takes a team. My team makes me who I am today: currently the No. 1 producing agent in Sunny Isles who specializes in $1 million and above properties.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Negotiations. Most of the time it’s not about the money, but about the principal, which makes it difficult at times.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? Sotheby’s International Realty is a mega international company with over 650 offices in 55 countries. I actively network with Sotheby’s colleagues from other countries to get new clients.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? The sale of a $17 million Fisher Island home in 2011 to Russian billionaire and vodka tycoon for Stolichnaya, Yuri Scheffler.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? Saw a movie called “Lucy,” which is about capabilities of the human brain. I thought the idea was very interesting. I mostly read social media and blog posts these days that are work related and unfortunately do not have time for books anymore.

What is your favorite restaurant? Zuma, a Japanese restaurant in downtown Miami.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? One Thousand Museum by renowned architect Zaha Hadid. Although it’s not built yet, by far my favorite design/building in Miami.

What kind of car do you drive? Range Rover HSE. Love comfort!

Smartphone or paper? Definitely smartphone.

What is your favorite city after Miami? New York, I grew up in New York.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Know, believe and love what you sell.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? Zillow, Trulia and realtor.com are my favorites.
