What was your first job in the realty industry? Listing agent with Exit Realty. From the beginning, I learned that having my own inventory was key in this business.
Where did you grow up? I growth up in Puerto Rico in a poverish home along seven brothers and seven sisters. I grew up looking to become succesuful in life. Since I was a kid, I always want come to Miami, because I thought that it was a beautiful and fun city.
What is your favorite free-time activity? Jogging and walking. Preaching and teaching the gospel.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? Excersice, pray and read.
Growing up, what did you want to be? An attorney.
If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? Donald Trump. He is a real estate genius. He knows how to be succesuful in this bussiness.
Where is your favorite place to hang out? The Village At Gulfstream Park. Nice food, excellent people and a lot of entretaiment.
What do you love most about the industry? Dealing with diferent types of people. Every person is different, and is a challenge that helps me to become a better agent, person and human being.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I try to have empathy with my clients, co-workers and the people that I meet on a daily basis.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Trying to reach every client’s goal. Failure is not a option.
Where do you go to network and meet new clients? Every time I’m prospecting. I give flyers away in different neighborhoods, along with Internet advertising. Every time I meet a new person, I always give them my business card, and I keep in contact with past and present clients.
What has been your greatest accomplishment? Being the top listing agent in some of the companies I have worked with. I love listings.
What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? “The Power of Your Subconscious Mind” by Joseph Morris.
What is your favorite restaurant? Texas de Brazil in Miami Beach.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? The Atlantis is beautiful.
What kind of car do you drive? A 2013 Hyundai Accent; it gives a lot of miles per gallon.
Smartphone or paper? Smartphone.
What is your favorite city after Miami? San Juan, Puerto Rico.
What is your advice for someone new to the industry? Have a lot of dedication and passion for the business. Don’t let the small stuff stop you. Never quit, and keep thinking that persistence beat resistence.
What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? Fusion. I have everyting that I need in my phone.
