Michelle Nunez is a broker associate for Fortune International Realty in Miami.

What was your first job in the realty industry? I managed and renovated a portfolio of commercial properties in Southern California.

Where did you grow up? I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA.

What is your favorite free-time activity? When possible, I love to travel. Whether it just be a mini-road trip somewhere close or simply checking into a hotel for the weekend, any type of getaway is my favorite free-time activity.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I live on the ocean, so I typically spend the day relaxing on the beach and swimming in the ocean. That’s a huge stress reliever.

Growing up, what did you want to be? I wanted to be a singer and tour all over the world.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? I would definitely have lunch with Jesus. To me, He is the purest and greatest demonstration of love, wisdom and power that the world has ever seen.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? There are so many places to choose from. I can’t pick one particular place, but if I have an opportunity to travel, I’ll take it.

What do you love most about the industry? You must be naturally driven to succeed in this industry, and I love the fact that it challenges you daily. It equips you to be sharper and stronger and stay on top of your game.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? Respect, integrity and pure honesty. The driven purpose of my deals are all about my clients’ upmost satisfaction.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? There’s no such thing as clocking out.

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? Every handshake and every smile can be an opportunity.

What has been your greatest accomplishment? Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, “To be yourself in the world that is constantly trying to make you something else is the greatest accomplishment.” That really resides with me because I’ve learned to genuinely appreciate and love who I’ve evolved into as a woman. To say that you really love yourself is not something that you say with arrogance, but that you say with pride because you learned to appreciate the character of who you’ve become.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? I saw a French film named “Priceless.” It’s a romantic comedy shot in some of the best hotels and most exclusive restaurants in France.

What is your favorite restaurant? There are too many to name, but I enjoy fine dining, particularly French food and French wine.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? I’d have to say Apogee South Beach. And as far as pre-construction goes, I’d have to say Oceana Bal Harbor.

What kind of car do you drive? A 2013 Mercedes E-Class.

Smartphone or paper? Both.

What is your favorite city after Miami? Paris, France.

What is your advice for someone new to the industry? It’s all about being an “overcomer,” and having a great deal of confidence and belief in what you’re doing.

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? Anyone related to music, fashion and travel.
