Anthony Falvo is a Realtor Associate for Coldwell Banker in Miami.
What was your first job in the realty industry? I started as a young adult, managing commercial and residential properties for my parents, who were in the real estate business. This transitioned into me specializing in investing and developing properties.
Where did you grow up? Canada. I was there until I was in my late 20s. I worked for myself and my family – we had an import/export company, distributing products throughout the United States, South America and Canada. I also was in sports and entertainment promotions and I was a real estate investor at the times as well. I came to Miami in 2005 and said, “This is the place I have to be.”
What is your favorite free-time activity? I love sports and exercising. I’m a fitness enthusiast. I’m always working or at the gym.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I like spending time with my family and friends and exercising. Those two things disconnect me from my professional life.
Growing up, what did you want to be? I’ve always wanted to be an entrepreneur.
If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? I’m fascinated by the inventory, Thomas Edison, and the industrialist, Andrew Carnegie. I would love to spend a few hours with them and see what type of mindset they have. Any man that can create something from nothing that changes the world sounds like an interesting person to talk to.
Where is your favorite place to hang out? Anywhere by the ocean. I like to go there and have lunch.
What do you love most about the industry? It’s really all about people. You’re always connecting with people, whether they’re buyers, sellers or co-workers.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I’m heavily invested in technology. I have a lot of marketing and promoting experience. I enjoy making videos, because I like making the real estate industry like Hollywood.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? Being driven and consistent every day.
What has been your greatest accomplishment? Choosing a career that I am passionate about, and choosing a good woman.
What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? “The Power of Focus” by Jack Canfield.
What is your favorite restaurant? Berries in the Grove, in Coconut Grove.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? The Atlantis on Brickell Condominium.
What kind of car do you drive? A BMW.

What is your favorite city after Miami? Rome, Italy.
What is your advice for someone new to the industry? Create your own advantage. Find a mentor for the first year, focus on building relationships and be different.
