With nearly two decades of lending experience, Bobby Fountain has seen every scenario in the book. The vice president of mortgage lending and Plantation branch manager at Guaranteed Rate, Fountain provides personalized and reliable service. “My level of patience, particularly with first-time buyers, gives them a higher comfort level,” he explains. “They know I will be there for them and find a solution to maximize their financial well-being.”
Interested in finance from a young age, Fountain started his career 24 years ago as a branch manager for SunTrust Bank. “I’ve always had an affinity towards helping people and guiding them to make the right decisions,” he says. “I aim to educate my clients on all options and want them to understand the process. The more they understand it, they more at ease they’ll be.”
Working with his wife, Gennesee, as his assistant, Fountain was able to increase his lending volume by 50% in the last year, making him among the top 1% of Guaranteed Rate’s originators in America and earning him a spot in the company’s President’s Club for the sixth year in a row. “My team and I are big on communication,” he says of his strategy for success. “We have a commitment to do whatever it takes.”
Fountain is a member of the National Association of Divorce Professionals and supports the First Baptist Fort Lauderdale church and the Humane Society. Outside of work, he enjoys playing golf, tennis and basketball and has coached his kids’ sports teams.
