A graduate of The Ohio State University, Voelker previously joined up with a group of innovative computer and business executives in what became one of the country’s largest, privately held retail, catalog and Internet companies. This venture, in addition to other companies he successfully launched and managed, allowed him to retire early, which afforded him the chance to pursue his passion for real estate. Having been a newcomer himself when he relocated to Miami from Ohio and New York City, Voelker is highly adept at meeting the expectations of Miami newcomers, longtime residents and those hoping to call Miami home during vacations and holidays. As he explains, “People aren’t always familiar with the intricacies of real estate in Miami, which can be quite different than in other places. Clients love that Jon and I help them understand the details even as we manage the transaction process because we want that process to be as stress-free as possible.”

This is why Voelker and his partner pride themselves on unparalleled customer service. “The most important lessons I learned when starting and managing companies is that you have to take care of the client by providing extraordinary service, listening to them and being certain to educate them before they make a final decision that will change their life,” he says. A lover of the outdoors and water activities, Voelker maintains a home in New York City but calls Miami his favorite place of all. In addition, he volunteers with Big Brothers Big Sisters and multiple boards, some of which he helped found. He points out that Miami’s laid-back atmosphere does not take away from his duo’s serious approach to ensuring clients’ satisfaction with how they invest their money in its booming real estate market. In fact, he calls this the best part of the business because it means helping people find their dream property. “I believe in working hard and playing hard, but definitely in that order,” he says. “We do what we do so well because we are two of the very few agents here that actually live the waterfront lifestyle we sell, and we make it about putting our clients’ needs first, not ours.”
