A case could be made that Nickolas Jimenez was destined for a career in real estate. Patterning himself after his highly successful Real Estate developer uncle, this ONE Sotheby’s International Realty professional always knew that he wanted to be part of the industry, and especially in one of the hottest markets in the world. “Miami is incredibly dynamic and cosmopolitan with the kind of worldwide popularity that doesn’t seem like it will ever diminish,” he says. A resident for 15 years, Jimenez is making his dreams come true and, as he puts it, “making my mark as a successful businessman in this beautiful city.”
Born to Brazilian and Colombian parents, Jimenez finds Miami’s global cultural to be the perfect fit for his Latin American heritage. He studied at Florida International University, where he earned a master’s degree in international real estate. It helped prepare him to support the motivated sellers, property investors and luxury homebuyers he counts among his clients. “My academic background equipped me with the skills necessary to understand concepts like supply and demand, market trends and property valuation,” Jimenez points out. Moreover, he specializes in helping people find homes that are pet-friendly, particularly since he understands the importance of this as a dog owner himself. “I know firsthand how much joy a pet brings to a person’s life, yet the challenges that sometimes creates when looking for a place to call home,” he says.
Jimenez also recognizes the concerns he often hears from clients about the buying process and the time it takes to find the ideal home. He couples his Realtor network and technology to quell their anxieties. “I can send high-quality videos of properties to my clients so that they can see homes as soon as they’re on the market and decide which they want to pursue,” he says. And while Jimenez finds that technology supports his work with buyers, it allows him to do the same with sellers. “I launch Web-based, customized marketing campaigns to showcase the homes I list to ensure they sell as quickly as possible for the best price.”
A true sportsman – Jimenez is a triathlete – this real estate expert draws inspiration from his wife and dog even as he identifies similarities between his career and the Iron Man challenges he enters. “You go through hours and hours of intense dedication until you finally cross the finish line and reach the goal that you started months earlier to accomplish,” he explains. “No matter how tough the race is, I always go all the way to the finish line and I’m the same way with my clients. No matter how hard it is or how long it takes, we’re going to make it to the finish line… together.”
