Krug, the world’s first luxury Champagne house, hosted a Krug journey of the senses, with the ultimate blends of music, cuisine and wines, at the National YoungArts Foundation campus and its restaurant, Ted’s. Guests were welcomed with Krug Grand Cuvee in the lobby, and then guided underground for an authentic “garage band” performance by Mel Brooks, where more glasses of Krug continued to elevate the experience. Following the brief concert, guests experienced a new form of elevator music with live trumpet and saxophone players heightening their sensesKru on the way up to Ted’s. At dinner, Julien Pepin Lehalleur from Krug Champagne house shared the story of Krug and presented a tasting of Krug Grand Cuvee, 2003 Vintage, 2000 Vintage, followed by Krug Rose, paired with dinner and music from YoungArts alumni. As an illuminated violinist stood on the tables, guests rose to their feet for dancing and dessert.
