Miami-based developer One Thousand Group and Bangkok-based resort owner-operator Minor Hotels are developing Anantara Miami Resort & Residences in Edgewood, marking the ultra-luxury hospitality brand’s first property in the United States.
Anantara’s parent company, Minor Hotels, is best known in the U.S. for its properties on Koh Samui island in Thailand that served as the setting for season three of HBO’s “The White Lotus.”
The 50-story tower will have 100 private branded condominiums and 120 resort residences that can be rented to hotel guests and 50 five-star boutique hotel suites. The 650-foot building above Biscayne Bay is expected to open in 2030.
“Anantara Miami Resort & Residences introduces something entirely new to the U.S.,” One Thousand Group Co-Founder Kevin Venger said. “It’s not just another branded residence, but a fully realized concept that blends hospitality, private ownership and longevity into one unified experience. Here, we’re able to deliver a fully layered holistic lifestyle that reflects how people are choosing to live today.”
The tower’s architects are Kohn Pedersen Fox and ODP Architecture & Design. The interiors of the building represent the first residential project in the United States by Patricia Urquiola. Sales, which are expected to launch later this year, will be handled by ONE Sotheby’s International Realty.
“True luxury is time, the freedom to pause, to explore and to experience the world more deeply,” said William Heinecke, founder and chairman of Minor International, the parent company of Minor Hotels. “Miami is the perfect location for the debut of our luxury Anantara brand into the U.S., and we are excited to partner with One Thousand Group to bring this vision to reality.”
