Sales recently began at Michelin-Star chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten’s Miami Tropic Residences, a 48-story residential tower in Miami’s Design District.
A joint-venture by developers Terra and Lion Development Group, the 329-condominium building is Vongerichten’s first residential real estate project. Arquitectonica is the architect, Yabu Pushelberg is the interior designer, and Douglas Elliman is handling sales.
The development will have 27,500 square feet of ground-floor retail, including Vongerichten’s abc kitchens, which represents a blend of his “plant-forward” restaurant abcV, Latin concept abc cocina and abc kitchen.
There will be over 41,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenities. Outside offerings include a resort-style pool with cabanas, landscaped gardens, theater, kitchen and recreation areas with ping pong and squash. Inside, residents will have access to a-podcast recording studio, chef’s kitchen, bar and lounge, juice bar, salon and spa.
“Miami Tropic represents a longtime dream of mine to open residences that blend my culinary passions with my interest in creating lifestyle spaces,” Vongerichten said. “We are proud to partner with [Terra CEO] David Martin on this new venture, whose expertise we value very much, and look forward to collaborating once again with Yabu Pushelberg to bring our first residences to life.”
