Jacqueline Pirkle Global Real Estate Advisor

ONE Sotheby's International Realty, Miami Beach

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

I launched a beachside liquor delivery service called LIQUIFY in a small luxury Florida beach town called 30A. This was before Uber liquor delivery existed in the area, and it was my first entrepreneurial venture.

Where did you grow up?

Atlanta, Georgia.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

A pharmacist, but I soon realized that organic chemistry was not my strong suit. I switched my major to International Business and graduated with honors.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

I like to relax on the beach with coconut water after closing a deal. The Setai has the best coconuts.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

George Washington. It would be amazing to step back in history and talk to a founding father.

Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?

Miami has a beautiful ocean life, and I enjoy boating around Key Biscayne where it feels more tropical. The fish are so colorful, and it reminds me of how diverse the Miami ecosystem is.

What do you love most about the industry?

When my clients turn into lifelong friends!

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

Finding a good work/life balance. With the incredible weather and so much happening, it’s tempting to tan by the beach all day or attend a social gathering. Luckily in South Florida real estate, I can do both and work beachside or bring my clients to events with me!

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

The best clients originate from friends who know you personally.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

I am currently binge-watching Million Dollar Wheels on Discovery Plus. I am featured in Episode 5! The show is about high-end clients looking to purchase luxury vehicles ranging from Bugatti to Rolls Royce. I am on the show as a Realtor in Miami looking for my next car to use during client showings.

What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?

The octopus at Milos in Miami Beach.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?

Aston Martin Residences. The building architecture and 55th floor roof deck is distinctly different from anything else in Miami.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?

I had agents from another brokerage attend a showing disguised as a client in order to take social media pictures for their pages!

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

I have an American quarter horse named Sampson gifted to me by my grandfather on my 11th birthday. Growing up in Georgia, I have always enjoyed horseback riding and my family owns an estate in the mountains where we keep our personal horses.

What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?

Greece. I’ve seen some of the most beautiful sunsets and the turquoise blue waters and gold sand beaches are incredible. My go-to spot is a beach club called Scorpios on a hill overlooking Mykonos where popular DJs perform.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?

Make genuine connections. Clients make for the best friendships.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?

Travel & Leisure. I love checking out their latest travel destinations. I also use social media as a way to relax and motivate me throughout the day, so it’s important for me to follow accounts that have positive and aspirational posts. I often save top-rated hotels, restaurants and travel spots that are on my bucket list!
