Terra recently completed phase one of the $1 billion Upland Park transit-oriented community that’s underway at West Miami-Dade County’s Dolphin Park-and-Ride Transit Terminal Facility.
This phase delivered 578 apartments, with leasing and tenant move-ins now underway. Work is set to begin later this year on the 47-acre mixed-use community’s second phase, which will add another 578 residences. Future phases will bring additional mid-rise and garden-style apartments, retail and commercial space.
“The completion of Upland Park’s first phase represents much more than the delivery of new homes — it’s the realization of a long-term vision for how thoughtful public-private partnerships can reshape our communities,” Terra CEO David Martin said. “Together with Miami-Dade County, we’re creating a vibrant mixed-use destination that expands housing opportunities, encourages transit use and establishes a new standard for transit-oriented development in South Florida.”
Upland Park is the largest transit-oriented development in Miami-Dade history. It’s a public-private partnership between Terra and the county and is designed to increase public transit ridership while anchoring the new East-West Corridor of the Miami-Dade’s SMART public transportation plan.
Located at 1455 NW 121st Ave., the first phase offers a mix of studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom residences ranging from 700 to 1,528 square feet. Monthly rental rates start in the $2,000s. Each apartment features Italian cabinetry, quartz countertops, stainless-steel appliances, vinyl tile flooring, in-unit washers and dryers, roller shades and walk-in closets in primary bedrooms.
Community amenities include a resort-style lap pool and separate children’s pool, clubhouse, pickleball courts, outdoor grilling and gathering areas, a playground, dog park, game lawn and landscaped green spaces overlooking the community lake.
