Miami-based Meyers Group Acquisition paid $8 million for over two acres in Fort Lauderdale for the development of a 200-unit multifamily residential project.

Colliers’ executive vice presidents Dave Preston and Jonathan Carter represented the seller, Double Mountain Development, in the sale.

The plot of land is located at 6210-6282 N Andrews Ave. in Fort Lauderdale’s Uptown Business District within the Cypress Creek submarket. Although the land is currently zoned for commercial use, recently established Uptown Business District zoning has eased restrictions on mixed-use and residential developments.

“Cypress Creek is one of the most dynamic submarkets in Broward County, offering direct access to I-95, the Tri-Rail station and one of the region’s strongest concentrations of office employment,” said Preston. “This transaction highlights the demand for residential development in an area with exceptional connectivity and long-term growth potential.”
