Taylor Corey Realtor

Coldwell Banker - Coral Gables

What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?
Podiatrist (foot doctor) assistant and auctioneer assistant.

Where did you grow up?
Atlanta, Georgia

Growing up, what did you want to be?
My whole family is in real estate so it was a natural move, however I went to school and studied nursing.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
No such thing with twins and an 8 month old at home!

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?
Barbara Corcoran

Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?
My new listing at the ULTIMATE exclusive building in SeaGlass – Jupiter Island.

What do you love most about the industry?
The ability to climb the ladder with hard work, and depending on yourself for success.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Recently relocating after 10 years in Miami. Building a new book of luxury business in Palm Beach and Jupiter is challenging, but with $15 million in listings I am confident the growth will continue.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?
MEET PEOPLE! Get out of your shell and talk, talk, talk.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?
Binge watching “Million Dollar Listing,” always…but that is cliche. Also watching “Love Island,” secretly. Reading tax incentive books currently, as well as “The Nightingale.”

What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?
Houstons in Boca!

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?
The Breakers in Palm Beach. A classic! Also across the street at Flagler Museum.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?
Going for a showing and walking into a couple asleep in bed that did not live there. Also having seller list the property at $3 million and after bringing a full price offer deciding they wanted $5 million — I still got it sold at $5!

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
I love to negotiate and I am OCD to the max. I have a lot of trouble delegating tasks.

What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?
Lake Burton in North Georgia. I grew up vacationing there and now take my kids. After the busy lifestyle of South Florida it’s nice to escape and relax on the lake.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?
Believe it and you can achieve it.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?
The Jills, Daryl Ann Denner, Tracy Tudor, Dani Austen

What are your social media handles?
@taycorey
