Georgia’s First Multiple Listing Service and Florida’s MIAMI Association of REALTORS® recently reached a data-sharing agreement to provide their members reciprocal access to one another’s regional property listings.  

Real estate agents who use the services now have access to both platforms’ Matrix MLSs through a new single sign-on capability.  

The agreement provides property-listing exposure and new referral opportunities to the platforms’ nearly 125,000 real estate professionals and their customers in South Florida and Georgia, according to an announcement. 

“Our members can access FMLS’ listings through one easy sign-on that they are already familiar with, so our brokers and agents have access to a wide array of inventory, and vice versa,” MIAMI REALTORS® CEO Teresa King Kinney said. 

Relocation and second-home purchases between major markets in Florida and Georgia are at an “all-time high,” making the agreement particularly opportune, the MLSs argued, citing market statistics. 

“Surprisingly, some local organizations are still determined to keep licensed agents and brokers out of their markets,” FMLS President and CEO Jeremy Crawford said. “They refuse to collaborate with their peers from surrounding areas, which is a real disservice to their buyers and sellers. I challenge all MLS executives to change the parochial nature of this industry.”
