What was your most interesting job before going into real estate?

I used to be a dentist and was the director of two major clinics in Barcelona, Spain.

Where did you grow up?

I was born and raised in Venezuela. After getting married, I moved to Barcelona, Spain, and spent 10 years there. Finally, 12 years ago, I arrived in Miami, which is now my forever home.

Growing up, what did you want to be?

I have always liked helping people and knew I needed a fulfilling profession to accomplish that. I’m fortunate enough that I’ve been able to achieve this with real estate.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?

I love to cook, especially when I have a cup of whine and share a good conversation with family or friends.

If you could meet any well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why?

Nick Vujicic was born without arms or legs, and despite that, he has become a great motivator and inspiration for many. He persevered through life’s challenges and discovered fundamental principles which enabled him to find his purpose and turn obstacles into opportunities.

Where is South Florida’s best-kept secret?

I believe South Florida’s best-kept secret is the city of Naples, for its spectacular beaches. The city is also one of the safest places in South Florida.

What do you love most about the industry?

I’m very passionate about helping my clients reach their dreams. My favorite part of the job is seeing their happy faces after a successful closing. Most of my clients are foreigners who came to this wonderful country I learned to call it home, just like I did. I am happy to help their dreams come true. I also enjoy helping other agents with my knowledge and expertise.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?

It’s hard to balance work and family, but this knowledge is essential. It also takes a lot of discipline to succeed in the industry, to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, such as emails, follow-ups of transactions and clients, creating content, and learning new digital market tools.

What’s your best advice for generating new leads?

In my experience, past clients are your best lead generation tool. You will get good referrals when you are passionate and professional and when you put your client’s benefit above all else.

What are you binge-watching/reading/listening to lately?

Lately, I have been seeing many digital marketing courses. I think it’s crucial in today’s world, so I’m learning strategies to make my personal brand. Regarding books, I like inspirational pieces.

What’s your favorite meal in South Florida?

There are great restaurants in Miami and many cuisines you can explore, but I am a fan of many dishes from my old-time favorite, Houston’s, on North Miami Beach.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in South Florida?

My favorite is One Thousand Museum by late architect Zaha Hadid.

What’s the weirdest thing that’s ever happened to you on the job?

Working with a dishonest broker was the worst thing that happened to me. He took a year off my pre-construction sales commission. It was rough and taught me valuable lessons.

What’s one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?

In some situations, I am an introverted person.

What’s your favorite vacation spot and why?

My favorite vacation spot will always be Barcelona, Spain. I have many memories, friends, and family there. Also, the food is fantastic!

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry?

Be constant, disciplined, persist, never give up and, above all, be professional.

Who are your favorite people to follow on social media?

I like to follow good agents for inspiration. I also enjoy following motivators, entrepreneurs and coaches.
