What was your first job in the realty industry? My first real estate job was working in luxury short term rentals with clients from overseas.
What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I try to relax by riding bike or exercising at the gym.
Where did you grow up? Between Colombia and Miami.
Growing up, what did you want to be? I wanted to be a physiologist.
If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? I would love to have lunch with Bill Gates because I find what this brilliant man has been able to accomplish in the past decade to be astonishing and would definitely like to know what drives him.
Where is your favorite place to hang out? My favorite place to hang out is at home with my daughter.
What do you love most about the industry? I love that I get the chance to meet new people every day and offer them a piece of my knowledge when shopping for their home.
How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I feel that there are many agents who have very pushy sales tactics, but I try to make a difference by offering a more friendly customer oriented service. I also try to listen very carefully to each of my clients’ needs so that they come back to me in the future for all their real estate needs.
What is the most difficult aspect of your job? I feel the most difficult aspect is that there is a lot of competition with not so much experience who at times might confuse the client, but I also believe there is enough work out there for everybody who has the will to learn.
Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I try to attend any company events, open houses and to let everyone I meet know what line of work I am in.
What has been your greatest accomplishment? As of yet, one of my greatest professional accomplishments has been to position myself.
What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? The last good book I read was “The Alchemist” by Paulo Coelho.
What is your favorite restaurant? My favorite restaurant is El Cielo, owned by Colombian Chef Juan Manuel Barrientos. It opened very recently in Miami.
Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? I would have to say Jade Ocean.
What kind of car do you drive? I drive an Audi A3.
Smartphone or paper? Smartphone.
What is your favorite city after Miami? Medellin, Colombia (It’s my hometown after Miami).

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? I am not so much a Twitter fan as I am a instagram person, in which case I follow: Bill Gates, Paulo Coelho and many others.
