Agent Snapshot: Ana Gonzalez-Mir, Realtor, Keller Williams Coral Gables-Coconut Grove, South Miami

Ana-Gonzalez-Mir

Ana Gonzalez-Mir is a Realtor with Keller Williams Coral Gables-Coconut Grove working in South Miami.

What was your first job in the realty industry? I worked as a Realtor for Suncoast Beach Realty in Miami Beach.

Where did you grow up? I was born in N.Y.C. and moved to Miami when I was 3-years-old.

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed? I love to hang out with my husband and children, doing anything as long as we’re together. I also love to browse Pinterest for homes, home décor, architecture and entertaining ideas.

Growing up, what did you want to be? I wanted to be an architect or interior designer. I went another route and have a Master’s degree in education, but eventually I made it back to my true loves – homes, design and real estate.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be and why? I think I would enjoy having lunch with Donald Trump.

Where is your favorite place to hang out? Anywhere my family is. I love being at home in Miami or in Key Largo together, with or without friends as long as we are all there.

What do you love most about the industry? I love the challenge of negotiating and getting the best deal for my clients. I love my career. I love that every day is different and exciting. Mostly I love the satisfaction of coming through for my clients and of helping them achieve their dreams.

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents? I am honest and completely transparent during the entire transaction. I treat my clients and their transactions as if they were my own.

I am always learning about my industry and trying to be the best I can be.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job? The lack of inventory is sometimes stressful…so if anybody out there would like to help by adding inventory to the market, call me, I’d be happy to list your home and find you a buyer!

Where do you go to network and meet new clients? I network everywhere. At the dentist’s office, at my children’s schools. at church, when I am traveling…anywhere and everywhere!

What has been your greatest accomplishment? I would have to say my greatest accomplishment is my family and having the life I always dreamed of.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read? I don’t have much time to read, but I enjoyed “The One Thing” by Gary Keller.

I saw some great films at the Miami Film Festival this year.

What is your favorite restaurant? I enjoy The Bazaar. I am a big fan of Jose Andres and enjoy al his restaurants.

Architecturally speaking, what is your favorite building in Miami? I like the Perez Art Museum building and I also like the Moore building.
I also love the Freedom Tower.

What kind of car do you drive? I drive a Buick Enclave (seven seater) because my children always have friends with them and I need a big car.

Smartphone or paper? Both. I love my Android, but I love to jot down notes on paper.

What is your favorite city after Miami? In the U.S., I love D.C. and N.Y.C.
Outside of the U.S., I love Sydney, Australia and Santorini, Greece.

In 10 words or less, what is your advice for someone new to the industry? Don’t be afraid to ask questions and always keep learning.

What’s your favorite real estate iPhone/Android app? My KW app.

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter? I don’t really use Twitter. I use FB and Instagram. I follow many realtors and developers.
