Daniel de la Vega, president of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty, has been named to the Dean Leadership Advisory Board at Florida International University’s (FIU) College of Architecture + The Arts.

The College of Architecture + The Arts, a nationally-renowned model for arts and design education, offers academic programs in architecture, interior architecture, landscape architecture, art and art history, communication arts, music and theater. As a member of the Dean Leadership Advisory Board, de la Vega will serve as a key consultant to the college’s dean, Brian Schriner, who oversees 6,000 alumni, 2,000 undergraduate and graduate students and 100 internationally-acclaimed, full-time faculty and staff members.

“As an FIU alumnus, I am honored to contribute to the advisory board and give back to an institution that has played an instrumental role in my life, and one that I highly respect,” de la Vega said. “This endeavor will be of particular interest to me given my experience in and love for real estate and art.”

As president of South Florida’s luxury real estate leader, de la Vega has played a key role in building the Sotheby’s International brand throughout the region, helping his team  reach annual sales in excess of $1 billion. De la Vega has been immersed in luxury residential real estate for most of his life, providing him with unique insight into mastering real estate deals and building relationships throughout the world.

De la Vega is a member of the Photography Committee at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and is an avid collector of Latin American art, possessing more than 50 works in his growing collection. He earned a finance and marketing degree from FIU and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Miami.
