Violeta Aizpurua is a Realtor associate with Keller Williams Realty Premier Properties in Miami.

What was your first job in the realty industry?
My first job in the Realty Industry was with Cosmopolitan Realty Inc. in the City of Doral. I was assisting the broker.

Where did you grow up?
In Venezuela, and I have worked in seven different countries.

What is your favorite free-time activity?
Share sports with my son, go to the beach and travel out of town!!!

What do you do to relax when you’re stressed?
I listen to music, read a good book, go to the beach or get a nice massage; I am a massage therapist got my certification back in 2010, so I know it relaxes the muscles in our bodies and keep our mind and spirits in good shape.

Growing up, what did you want to be?
I wanted to be in the medical field! I love to help people. Then I had achieved four careers: first one was a business administrative degree, then a fire fighter, then a massage therapist and now a Realtor.

If you could have lunch with a well-known figure (living or not), who would it be?
I would love to have lunch with Cleopatra. She was a powerful woman, with strong character and knowledge. She was born in the same month as me, August, and she was one of the most well-known female ancient Egyptians.

Where is your favorite place to hang out?
The beach!!!

What do you love most about the industry?
The satisfaction of my clients!

How do you distinguish yourself from the crowd of agents?
Being myself and showing my skills. My personality gives solutions to my clients and shows them how to really enjoy their experience of doing business with me, and my company which is the No. 1 company and largest in North America.

What is the most difficult aspect of your job?
Legal matters are very difficult to deal with, but if you get training and have the support from your broker it makes it easy as the rest of the job! I love to do real estate, so when you love what you do, no matter the difficulty, you make things happen!

Where do you go to network and meet new clients?
I network everywhere. To me is part of my life. I start when I leave my house in the parking lot, in the elevator, in a shopping center, in my son’s school, in my doctor’s office, on the streets, in meetings, on Facebook, on magazines, by sending flyers, posting real estate signs, etc.

What has been your greatest accomplishment?
Working as a retail fuel manager with BP Amoco in seven countries was definitely my biggest accomplishment. Then having four different careers has made me feel I have achieved and accomplished a lot in my early 50’s.

What was the last good movie you saw or book you read?
The latest book I am reading is the Spanish book “Cuando el Enemigo Ataca,” which was given to me for reading by my ex-broker; it shows you all the keys to succeed in all your battles with in a spiritual matter.

What is your favorite restaurant?
Rustin Pelikan.

What is your favorite building in Miami?
Taj Mahal, India. This is the most famous building in the world to me and because of its romantic face for eternity!!!

What kind of car do you drive?
Mercedes Benz C-230 Sports Edition.

Smartphone, or paper?
iPhone 4G.

What is your favorite city after Miami?
New York City.

What is your advice for someone new to the industry?
To get trained, to follow up with clients right away and be smart and fast!

What is your favorite iPhone/Android app?
Realtor.com, Maps, App Store and Safari.

Who are your favorite people to follow on Twitter?
Real estate groups, because I learn about their experiences.
