The Temple House, a synagogue turned single-family home in South Beach, is on the market again for $19.9 million with Susan Gale of ONE Sotheby’s International Realty as the listing agent.
The 13,111 sq. ft. space at 1415 Euclid Avenue is the largest single-family home in South Beach. The home has been the site of a One Direction video, a Kardashian party and events held by Jennifer Lopez, JayZ and other celebrities. It has also held corporate events for NetJets, Absolute Vodka, Microsoft and Colgate, according to its website.
“It’s an iconic property,” Gale, who specializes in “unique, trophy” offerings, told The Real Deal. “What is different about this property is it serves many purposes. It is the largest single-family residence in South Beach, if someone wants it as a private urban residence. It also has a bed-and breakfast license. And it is a world-class, licensed event space.”
The two-story, landmark Art Deco property on a double corner lot was designed as a temple in 1935 by architect L. Murray Dixon, whose other projects include high-profile South Beach hotels such as The Tides, Victor, Raleigh, Marlin, Tudor and Ritz Plaza.
Currently owned by Daniel Davidson, who bought the property in March 2003 for $1.125 million, according to Miami-Dade property records, the home has been on and off the market over the years.
Its features include a soundproof, 6,000 sq. ft. great room with 25 ft. high ceilings and mezzanine, a 2,500 sq. ft. private catering space and a 2,900 sq. ft. sundeck with pool and waterfall.  The five-bedroom, five-and-a-half bathroom mansion also has an elevator and two-car garage.
