First American Bank celebrates new location in Westchester

by Kerrie Kennedy

First American Bank held an internal socially distanced ribbon-cutting ceremony last week to commemorate the grand opening of its new Westchester branch located at 9696 SW 40th Street.

A live stream was held for those who wished to tune in to the ceremony on the bank’s Instagram account, @firstambank.

“In 2015, First American Bank purchased the Coral Gables bank, marking our entrance into the Florida market,” said Rodolfo Lleonart, Managing Director Community Banking, in a press release. “In 2019, we finalized the acquisition of Continental National Bank, which increased our office total to six branches in Florida. Our goal is to continue to service our current commercial and consumer customer base as well as grow our expanding customer base and market share within the Westchester region.”

Rodolfo welcomed the Instagram live attendees as the intimate in-person event only included key members of First American Bank including Julio Valle, Executive Vice President and Market Manager of the Westchester location. Branch staff in attendance included Michael Blanche, Nicole Lehr, Elaine Escandon and Rachely Escalona.

The event concluded with Valle cutting the ribbon with Lleonart, officiating the grand opening of the new Westchester office.
