RE/MAX Advance Realty, Miami’s largest RE/MAX agency, has acquired RE/MAX Oceanside Realty in North Miami.
The transaction will establish RMA’s first team office beyond its current South Miami and Kendall locations and increase its total number of agents to 155.
Former co-owners of RE/MAX Oceanside Luis and Deborah Padilla will join RMA as agents and team members and continue service from their current location.
“Deborah and I are very pleased with this decision, which allows us to stay within the RE/MAX family and focus our full attentions on serving our customers,” said Louis Padilla in a press release. Padilla, who opened the Oceanside Realty office in 2006, is the 2020 president-elect of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals. “It was important for us to join a firm that had strong roots in South Florida but would also benefit from our expertise of this unique sector of Miami.”
RMA broker-owner Anthony Askowitz said the company had been targeting an expansion into North Miami for some time, after seeing substantial growth opportunity in the area.
“We are delighted to make this move together with the Padillas, who I have known and admired from our RE/MAX association and through Luis’ leadership with respect to Hispanic homeownership,” Askowitz said in the press release.
