The number of homes and condos sold in Florida between February and March of this year jumped a whopping 36 percent. Home sales throughout the U.S. only averaged 3.7 percent during the same time frame, according to the Florida Realtors and National Association of Realtors.

Unlike the rest of the country, which still hasn’t returned to 2010 levels, Florida also improved home sales compared to March 2010 with a 15.8 percent increase.

The increase is attributed to more home sales occurring in 17 regions of the Sunshine State.

NAR reports this is the fourth consecutive month that home sales have grown in Florida, a clear signal that the housing market is improving.
