Amrofni New Homes is the first Black-woman-owned luxury real estate brokerage specializing in new construction. According to Jackie Lee Sylvester, founding broker, the business is operated as an exclusive concierge service. “Many people believe they must work directly with a builder to purchase new, but it’s actually quite beneficial to work exclusively with a broker who represents your best interests,” Sylvester explains. “I recently rebranded Amrofni as a brokerage specializing in new and preconstruction homes and am now expanding into selling new homes under $1M and offering rental properties.”
In the industry for 15 years, Sylvester has built a client base that includes luxury buyers, business leaders and professional athletes throughout South Florida. “I have a strong background in leadership and am able to see beyond the sale and build trust, respect and a sense of consensus around each closing,” she insists. “I inspire everyone to work together and make even the most difficult deals happen.”
Sylvester served as a Miami YPN Leadership board member for three years and state director of Florida Realtors in 2019 and 2020. A proud member of South Florida’s Caribbean American community, she actively supports local Trinidadian and Tobagonian establishments, works with many international clients, and frequents cultural events celebrating unity including Miami Broward Carnival. Her goal is to create a positive experience and win-win situations for everyone involved.
Sylvester credits much of her success to her small but mighty network of business professionals in both real estate and events. Passionate about live events, she heads the live events client operations team behind AfroTech, the largest Black technology conference in the U.S. Today she continues to help connect a global community of over 20,000 multicultural technology innovators annually.
