Martin Price, CEO

The Realty Connexion Discount Real Estate Corp.

Land developer, residential builder, appraiser, real estate consultant, asset-based construction lender, author and lecturer Martin Price has been prominent on the South Florida real estate scene for 45 years. But he didn’t start there. As far back as 1964, Price was acquiring acreage in the Blue Ridge Mountains, the Shenandoah Valley and the Ozarks and subdividing it into smaller parcels to sell to builders and end users.

After moving to South Florida in 1978, Price obtained his Florida real estate license and became sales manager at Florida Atlantic Development Corp., and then president and CEO of First American Land Corp. However, 20 years ago, always looking for new and unique marketing niches, he created FloridaLandForYou.com, the website for which he’s probably best known locally, and which he and his family operate for The Realty Connexion. The company exclusively offers only seller-financed Florida land such as city building lots, recreational acreage and mini farms.

In the early 2000s, Price’s instincts about consumer behavior led him to realize that thousands of rehabbers, remodelers and real estate flippers from all over the country were posting signs at intersections that read, “We buy houses,” or “We buy ugly houses,” along with a phone number. Surmising that drivers seeing the signs went home and searched “We buy houses,” he created the only dot com website of the same name, licensed it and sold the qualified leads to licensees nationwide.

Price also serves the real estate and development community as an asset-based lender. His company, The Cash Connection, offers gap loans, bridge loans and construction loans. Beyond South Florida real estate, he’s known for creating the Jellystone Park camping franchise and the RCI vacation exchange organization. Price has also served as real estate advisor to companies such as Westinghouse Credit Corp. and Chromalloy Corp.
