The Florida Association of REALTORS® announced that Rob Thomson was named Humanitarian of the Year. This award was presented to Thomson at the 2023 Florida Realtors Convention & Trade Expo at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort on Aug. 17.

The Palm Beach County Realtor was recognized for his philanthropy with Big and Small Dog Ranch Rescue in Loxahatchee. Thomson serves as vice president of the organization’s board and has made lifetime contributions equaling $100,000.

In addition to his monetary contributions, Thomson spearheaded Big Dog Ranch’s Christmas in July event, where he underwrote $10,000 in adoption fees for local first responders and veterans. He also implemented the Veteran Dog Training Program, providing service dogs to over 50 veterans dealing with PTSD.

Thomson is the owner of Waterfront Properties & Club Communities in Palm Beach County.
