Unlike other recent mysterious cases involving real estate agents such as Ashley Okland or Jiangoe “Tony” Han, Belmonte is believed to have disappeared from her own home.

Captain Dan Rakofsky, from the Pembroke Pines Police told NBC Miami that they have checked local air, waterways and dumpsters for clues, reportedly finding potential evidence in one of the dumpsters.

“Based on the fact that Ms. Belmonte’s car, purse, wallet and cell phone were left at the residence, we believe the circumstances were extremely suspicious,” Rakofsky said in the article. “And we’ve been vigorously searching since the report of the disappearance.”

The Sun Sentinel adds that Belmonte was wearing a strapless brown dress at the time of her disappearance. Additionally, she is described as 5’4″, weighing 135 pounds, with straight, long brown hair and brown eyes.

Pembroke Pines Police Sergeant, Carlos Burmudez also told the Sentinel that there were no signs of forced entry into her residence.

Belmonte is a divorced mother of three grown children. She was reported missing by her son.

Anyone with information regarding the case is asked to contact Pembroke Pine police at 954-431-2200, or Broward Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS (8477).
