The Miami Association of Realtors has installed its new leadership, and it will be headed by new residential president, Miami Beach Realtor Carlos Gutierrez.

The principle Realtor of Gutierrez Group Miami Real Estate, an affiliate of Keller Williams Miami Beach, Gutierrez, a 13-year professional, was selected for his varied experience and tested knowledge. Not only has he shown a penchant for leadership – having grown his former United Realty Group branch into an office of over 70 Realtors – but as an immigrant from Bogota, Colombia, Gutierrez has the unique opportunity to leverage his life experience in his new position.

MIAMI is currently recognized as the nation’s largest local Realtor association, supporting a membership of approximately 41,000 residential, commercial and international real estate professionals. Under his administration, Gutierrez hopes to continue elevating the association’s membership through education, advocacy and technological support.

“In 2016, I would like to see the Realtors who are successfully engaging the association – taking advantage of our 3,000-plus classes per year, 90-plus technical tools and homeowner rights advocacy – inviting colleagues in real estate to share and benefit from the same,” he told Miami Agent. “If more Realtors were engaged in what the association has to offer, we would have a higher caliber of Realtor in our industry.”

Gutierrez added that while he was proud MIAMI was already recognized as the largest Realtor association, he would also like it to be known as the best.

Apart from his new presidency, Gutierrez is also a Florida Realtors state director and a serving member of the National Association of Realtors’ Board of Directors.
