John R. Wood Christie’s International Real Estate named Jeffrey Piipponen broker of its Marco Island office at 1000 N. Collier Blvd.

Piipponen brings over 20 years of brokerage leadership experience in Southwest Florida and the Florida Keys, including oversight of multi-office operations, agent development and sales management.

He most recently served as sales manager for multiple offices with Coldwell Banker Schmitt Real Estate Cos. in the Florida Keys. There, he oversaw growth, retention and recruiting efforts and developed training programs for sales teams.

“Jeff’s experience leading teams in some of Florida’s most competitive real estate markets will be an asset to our Marco Island office,” said Corey McCloskey, president of John R. Wood Christie’s International. “His background in agent development and brokerage operations aligns well with the needs of both our agents and customers.”

Before Coldwell Banker Schmitt, Piipponen spent eight years as managing broker for Coldwell Banker’s Realogy Brokerage Group, where he managed offices in Naples, Bonita Springs and Fort Myers Beach. Prior to joining Coldwell Banker, Piipponen was broker-owner of ERA Faust Realty Group, a three-office franchise brokerage.

“I’m excited to join John R. Wood Christie’s International Real Estate and become part of a company with a long history in Southwest Florida,” Piipponen said. “Marco Island is a unique market, and I look forward to supporting our agents and contributing to the continued success of the office.”

Piipponen has a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of South Florida and completed MBA coursework at Wright State University.
