Largest penthouse in the U.S. — scheduled for five stories and 33,000 square feet — sells in Miami

by Patrick Regan

A preconstruction penthouse scheduled to be five stories and 33,000 feet — the largest penthouse in the U.S. — recently sold in Miami.

The unit will top the Waldorf Astoria Residences, which will be the tallest residential building south of Manhattan when it’s completed.

The penthouse will include 10 bedrooms. 11.5 baths, ceilings as high as 25 feet and a Wall Street-style trading room. Other amenities include a safe room, billiards area, private theater, two 90-inch theater screens, three wine cellars, massage rooms, sauna and a 20-car garage. The private roof deck will feature a pool, swim up tiki bar, outdoor gym and court for racquetball, pickleball and basketball.

The buyer and sale price were not disclosed, and records on the transaction are not yet public because the unit is in preconstruction.

The tower, developed by PMG, broke ground Oct. 27 and is scheduled for completion in 2026.
