Between a global pandemic, stay-at-home orders, and social unrest, 2020 was certainly an unprecedented year. MIAMI Association of Realtors Young Professionals Network (MIAMI YPN) leaders took that opportunity to brainstorm and double-down on providing even more value to our members. For example, we hosted more classes and education sessions, and we pivoted our signature in-person events to virtual events. We made sure to collaborate with other YPN chapters across the country to mastermind, share ideas and ensure we were doing everything in our power to remain valuable to our members and to stay on top of our craft for our customers during a unique time.
Now, what does 2020 have to do with Miami YPN going global? During 2020, our reach and relationships expanded! The internet allowed us to remove all geographical barriers to build relationships with other amazing young professionals in the real estate industry across the country. It soon became Miami YPN’s mission to expand our reach and network even more!
YPN Advance is an invite-only interactive day-and-a-half workshop with YPN chairs, vice chairs and staff liaisons from across the United States. This event is intended to help grow your network by connecting with members throughout the country while bringing important discussions to the table on how to take your business to the next level. In 2021, our then MIAMI YPN President, Bethany Martinez, announced our national referral network at YPN Advance in Chicago. We came back to Miami with over 100 young professionals in our referral network.
Of course, Miami YPN, the 2021 Mega Network of the Year Award Recipient at the 2021 NAR Conference and Expo, could not stop there! Given that we are MIAMI leaders with a global reach, why would Miami YPN not take our mission and value past Miami and out of the United States?
MIAMI Realtors is a global leader with 230 foreign partner associations, and it is no secret that Miami is always ranking at the top for foreign buyers in the United States. MIAMI had the opportunity to exhibit, present, and enhance Miami’s global exposure at two major United Arab Emirates real estate conferences: the Florida Realtors/Dubai International Real Estate Conference & Trade Mission and the International Property Show, both in March.
Some of our current Miami YPN leaders, along with our Miami Realtors CEO Teresa King Kinney, and other MIAMI leaders were in attendance. Dubai and Miami are undoubtedly robust, thriving real estate markets with great commonalities. As our CEO Teresa King Kinney stated, “In terms of property design, architecture and technology, Miami and Dubai are both leading world-class cities of the future.”
It’s safe to say that MIAMI and MIAMI YPN made quite the impression while in Dubai! We went to Dubai to learn, have roundtable discussions, see the architecture and build relationships with international professionals. We left Dubai with a new global partnership and an even greater mission – going global! Miami YPN is proud and excited to announce that we will be hosting our first YPN Global Congress in February in Dubai! The conference will take place over a span of a few days, in which some of MIAMI YPN’s signature events will take place. Some things to expect:
· Legends and Millennials Panel – panel discussion with successful seasoned real estate professionals and newer professionals who were able to achieve success quickly.
· ReBarcamp – a simultaneous, multi-mastermind event in which the attendees choose the topics.
· YPN Challenges – awards and recognitions given to young professional attendees after successfully completing certain challenges during the conference.
· Roundtable discussions and mastermind sessions.
· And MORE
