First,a triplex penthouse at the Continuum in South Beach recently sold for $25 million, setting a new record for condo sales in Miami; then, another Continuum unit sold for $16.25 million just a month after being initially listed.
Now, an Indian Creek Island mansion is under contract, with the rumored sale price somewhere in the $52 million range.
Jeff Morr, the founder/CEO of Majestic Properties in Biscayne Corridor, had told us after the Continuum sale that the luxury market was clearly back in Miami, and with this new sale, it’s difficult to see it in any other light.
According to an NBC blog on the home, the original listing was for $60 million, and though the final sale price is undisclosed, it’s expected to be the most expensive home ever sold in Miami, a fact that the homes two Trulia listings (one for each price point) pointed out.
Some of the 30,000-square-foot residence’s amenities include:
- A 100-foot resort pool
- An elevator
- A chromotherapy spa and massage room
- A certified green house
- A garage that fits seven limos (“after all, why have one when you can have seven, right?” NBC asks)
- A panic room
